An article by Lawrence Spizman and Frank Tinari entitled "Assessing Economic Damages in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation: The State of New York," was published in the Journal of Forensic Economics, 22(1), 75-100.  A special focus of the article concerns how Rule 50A/B is applied to determine the ultimate payments to plaintiffs and their attorneys.

Dr. Frank Tinari was an invited attendee in New York City at a Bloomberg Law seminar titled "Burden of Proof for Challenges to Patent Validity" on May 11, 2011.  The focus of the program was on competing evidentiary standards, highlighted in the recent Microsoft case, for challenging patent validity.

Ken Betz, MA, MBA, joins the Tinari Economics Group after a successful career in forensic economics associated with economist M. Marcus, Ph.D., who recently retired. Ken is also a faculty member at Fairleigh Dickinson University where he teaches a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses in economics and finance. In 2005 he received Teacher of the Year award from the Silberman College of Business.
